There are two basic approaches to marketing for new guitar students: you can go after them (using push marketing tactics) or you can try to get them to come to you (using pull marketing tactics). The big difference is who is making the initial contact…you or the potential student…and that makes a huge difference in whether your marketing efforts will be successful or not.
In this episode, I’ll tell you all about the difference between push and pull marketing. I’ll give you good examples of each approach, along with some of the pros and cons of each one. I’ll also explain how to know when you should be aggressively trying to get the attention of potential students and when you should be trying to entice them to come to you, instead. The answer might surprise you!
